Kylie grew up in Twin Falls, Idaho, underneath dark skies that drew her eyes upward. That curiosity was fueled with countless trips to the Herrett Center Observatory, where she explored the stars encouraged by observatory coordinator Chris Anderson. The summer after her Junior year of high school, Kylie attended the Research Science Institute, hosted at MIT, and fell in love with the atmosphere of collaboration and pursuit of knowledge. She was dead-set on attending MIT, to study astrophysics and attain her dreams of becoming an astrophysicist. Right now she is living her dreams as an undergraduate researcher at MIT's Kavli Institute for Astrophysics and Space Research, where she's begun to taste the many mysteries of the universe. Upon graduating, Kylie plans to attend grad school to pursue a PhD in astrophysics.
